A Historic Home
The plantation home at Tanglewood Plantation is an authentic 1830s Greek Revival style property, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places for its historical significance and preserved architecture. The plantation house was home to Senator Ed "Cotton" Smith and once hosted President Theodore Roosevelt.
25+ Beautiful Acres
Ancient trees draped in spanish moss, sweeping lawns, and an English rose garden make Tanglewood Plantation the perfect backdrop to your event.
Two Charleston-style Brick Patios
The elegance and charm of Charleston is in the center of South Carolina. Two large brick patios, each with their own central fountain, serve as the foundation of your reception.
600 Square Foot Catering Kitchen
A large catering kitchen is available for food preparation, including refrigerators, stoves, ovens, hot boxes, large prep tables, and a 400-lb. ice machine. A driveway is tucked behind the kitchen to hide away any vehicles, and can also be used for outdoor food preparation like grilling or barbecue.
Groom's Cottage
A historic schoolhouse on property has been renovated and converted into the Groom's Cottage - a private area for the groom and his groomsmen to relax and get ready, separate from the bridal party for more traditional ceremonies.

Follow I-26 West to I-95 North, follow route for 60 miles. Turn left onto SC-341 North (exit 146). Turn right onto SC-341 North, follow for 1.6 miles. Tanglewood Plantation is located on the left side of the road, with a white fence bordering the property.
From Columbia & West:
Follow I-20 East to SC-341 S (exit 120). Turn right onto SC-341 S. Follow approximately 2.7 miles, then bear left to stay on SC-341 S. Follow for 13.1 miles. Tanglewood Plantation is located on the right side of the road, with a white fence bordering the property.
